Dummies
Dummy List
All dummies of the fce file are listed in the dummy list. Select the dummy you want to edit.

You can move the selected dummy using the mouse. In 3d view mode, the dummy can be moved in any direction. Hold down left button for movements in x-y-direction. Holding down the right button moves the part in the z-direction. In the non-perspective view modes the part can be moved in the appropriate directions holding down the left button. In all view modes, the part can only be moved along the enabled axes (see "The Axes" below).

Use one of the ADD buttons to create a new dummy. The first one adds a special dummy, the second one adds a light dummy. You may copy or delete dummies using the appropriate buttons.
Special Dummies
Special Dummies are defined only by name and position. There are license plates in different sizes and resolutions, a smoke generator and a no-name-dummy used in dash files to tell NFS the driver's point of view.
Select the desired type from the list, that will appear, if you select or add a Special Dummy.
Light Dummies
If you select or add a Light Dummy, you may edit several parameters like the type of light, the color, intensity etc. as shown on the left. As you may notice, these parameters are also coded in the dummy's name.
Dummy Position
The position (x-y-z) of the selected dummy is displayed in the dummy positon field. Click on the appropriate edit filed to edit the position using the keybord. The input must be finished by pressing the ENTER key.
The Axes
These three buttons allow you to lock movements along certain axes. Only the selected axes are enabled for moving the selected dummy using the mouse.
